After the cancellation of Wanderlust Great Lake Taupo, event organisers have come together quickly to produce a festival for all of the people that were left disappointed.
A humble, fresh offering to the New Zealand yoga/mindfulness community is the four-day LoveLake Festival, promising a low cost and accessible program of yoga, meditation and mindfulness classes as well as music from the evening of March 8, 2018.
“This weekend and location holds special significance for the yoga and mindfulness community in New Zealand. We’re excited to partner with Wairakei Resort to connect, practice our values (and handstands), and party as we have in previous years,” say the festival directors.
LoveLake Festival will feature an amazing lineup of 23 teachers and artists from across New Zealand and all around the world, including internationally-renowned yoga teacher and author Kara-leah Grant.
“Nature abhors a vacuum, so it’s no surprise that LoveLake was able to rise from the ashes with such ease. The yoga community is buzzing with excitement with the news they have somewhere new, heartfelt and homegrown to connect, yoga, meditate, dance and play.”
Wairakei Resort General Manager Kathy Guy said that LoveLake promises to be yet another enlightening, fun weekend in Taupo.
“It has been an incredibly busy couple of weeks where a group of passionate locals have worked tirelessly to make this festival a reality, not only for those that will attend, but the Taupo region as a whole,” says Guy. “Everybody involved has come together with the main motive to provide a fantastic festival for New Zealand’s yoga, meditation and music loving community.
